The Story One Nurse
Our adventure in traveling as a nurse started like any other – Big Hopes, Big Dreams and lots of ambition. No matter how hard we tried to put money away or save “something” always came up. Broken down cars, house repairs and the joys of living with three children (things break a lot). Check out our beginnings post from last week.
We wanted to travel the United States and see all this beautiful country had to offer. We were ready to let go of our dream and settle for a simple life. Instead of giving up we started looking for a different way. I knew a few travel nurses from work and started asking them how it all worked. John and I realized – this could be exactly what we needed. The last 10 years of our life together, working for the weekend wasn’t what we wanted anymore.
Like most decisions the Coopers make we dived in head first, without looking back. Our family left everything behind for a new adventure, new freedom. An RV trip as far as we could to as many places as we could muster began and we haven’t stopped.
We’ve got some bumps along the way, car troubles and roadside repairs. Yet we are having the adventure. Though the days are hard, we have seen many beautiful areas this country has to offer.
We have met the kindest and angriest people along the way. Through it all we have learned to lean on each other, have just a little more patience. Choosing the higher road is never a bad decision. I mean the view is always worth it 😉
Most of all we’re excited to keep bringing you along this journey with us. Cheers to a new year, to new adventures and to always giving grace for those around us.
