2020 Holidays

Everything Is Different This Year

The holidays are especially important this year. With all that has gone on in 2020, I am eager for a small sense of normalcy with my kids. Gathering with family, enjoying good food and playing games as if nothing has changed. Just one day where I don’t have to explain to them that this event is canceled and we can’t go here or there anymore.

Why the Holidays?

Back when mall gatherings were a thing

Christmas has always been a time where fellow man comes together. We support each other and lend a helping hand and kindness seems to swell during this time of the year. I am hoping even with 2020 the same sentiment stands. We can still look up in wonder at the night sky and leave candy canes on each others cars. I can show the kids to donate toys and share what we have with others less fortunate. Christmas is a season of hope, restoration and the bringing of peace. This year more than ever we need Christmas to fill our hearts and to spread light in the world.

The Cooper family will be adventuring to see family, friends and enjoying all that life has to offer these days. I pray for peace, I pray for our nation and leaders and I pray that we all take a moment to step back and realize spreading kindness is the most important act we can take part in this year.

Santa visits will look a little different

If you are knew to this site you haven’t heard me talk about out random acts of kindness advent. I’ll link to the original post here. We spread joy by giving kindness each day through the month of December. We try and spread joy day to day, but I love giving a little extra during the holiday season.
