My Hopes for My Boys in the Coming Year
Last year was our first year home schooling. We learned to adapt, have hope, change and of course have a ton of fun. Last year I was working a part time job while teaching on my days off. Now, as a travel nurse, our schedule has changed. I’m working full time while John stays home with the boys and home schools in the fall.
This summer we have moved around and traveled to 3 different states. This will be our new normal. This brings a ton of opportunities for spontaneous learning, but can breed difficulty when trying to find areas for all of us and school supplies to fit.
This year has brought many changes for everyone and overall our school schedule will remain the same. I know my boys have many adventures ahead of them. I only hope to bring them joy and encouragement in the new school year.
Seek Adventure
There are many aspects to life as you get older. Responsibility,n discipline and a family to provide for. Though I hope all these come true for my boys. I hope to encourage them to always seek adventure in their day to day. To find what sets their heart on fire.
Live Life to the Fullest
Life may not always be easy, but always get back up, try again and keep enjoying those amazing moments.
Pursue your Dreams
Don’t be afraid to go after what your purpose is, even if its difficult. Keep getting back up and trying again.
Live Without Fear
Fear is the weapon the enemy likes to use against us. Fear stops us from pursuing our purpose, it keeps us hidden. We may not know when our time will some, but we can spend every moment we have sharing with others and spreading kindness.
Stand Up for your Faith
Faith will not be the popular answer. However, we are called to share that faith no matter the cost.
Always Have a Sense of Wonder
See the world through new eyes each morning. There is heart ache, there is pain, but there is so much beauty too.
This year will be different from all the rest. This year I hope to continue to instill these beliefs in them while learning on the road. What are your hopes for yourself, your kids? Let me know in the comments below!
