Living Without Fear

A Guide to Peace Admin the Chaos

Chaos perfectly describes the situation in our world today. No matter your views you can plainly see our world is not united together. When unity breaks, fear creeps into our souls and minds, making life that much harder. Fear takes over.

Hanging at the beach

I was recently talking to a stranger while watching my boys jump into the cold water of the lake. We were chatting about life and as always our conversation quickly went to the news. She was pulling at straws and hoping as a nurse I would have the insight she needed. The truth is,most of the time I know less than everyone else. Its not that I chose to be oblivious, but I refuse to go to work everyday fearful, afraid of what I might see or face.

I said “I just do my best to love and live life to the fullest. When my time comes it comes. There’s no worry or fear that will change that. I am confident in where I am going.”

She was stunned and said “That’s an amazing outlook.”

Happy days ahead

I didn’t say it to be better or proud, it’s simply what I believe and know to be true. Fear is not our friend, it causes division and hatred. Fear will not help us.

Fear shames us and pulls us apart, fear breaks unity. Fear is the enemy and I don’t have time for him. This is the reason I can walk into a hospital each day and take care of others, not knowing what they carry with them. Fear has no place here.

Grateful for today

There are three simple ways I kick fear in the butt each morning

Be Grateful

When we express gratitude we remind ourselves of all that is good in this world.

Hope in the Future without fear

Today may not be the greatest, but tomorrow is a new day, a new beginning, a new freedom.

Be Certain of the Outcome

I may not know what this world has in store for me, but I know the ending of the story. I know the next chapter and I can feel good about the ending.

Let the Rest Go

Some battles are not worth fighting, let it go. Release what you can’t control and look forward to the future.

Beautiful scenery always helps

Fear still comes. Creeping in at night when I recheck the doors and my kids in bed. I am not perfect, but letting go of fear helps us to build a brighter future. A good decision doesn’t come from fear.
