Adjusting To A New Life

Finding Rhythm to the New Normal

Week one of living in the RV is in the books. There were some rocky moments, some fun and overall a lot of adjusting. We had to look at the way our morning routines fit in and how we could still have time for ourselves while being crammed together in a little space.

We’re still working on the routines. The days I’m home are much easier as we can switch off having a few moments, but my days at work seem a little chaotic for everyone. Maybe that’s just the way life will be now. Luckily, adjusting to a new job was the least of my worries and everything so far, seems to be going well.

The new normal is just that new and I’m finding taking it day by day, improving little by little is the best way to go. Johns adjusting, I’m adjusting and I think this new week ahead will bring more comfort, better routine and of course lots of exploring.

St Mary’s Glacier

This week we took a hike up to St Mary’s Glacier. A part of the mountain that stays frozen year round. It sits along a beautiful lake. The hike was steep but was less than a mile to the glacier. The boys enjoyed seeing snow in June and ran around for a small snow ball fit mid hike.

The beautiful Mountain View

Of course all the fun ended when someone fell and their pants got all wet #endoftheworld

All and all a nice family hike, next time o would bring a picnic. A beautiful spot to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery Colorado has to offer.

Getting us all together

These are the little ways we are adjusting to a new normal. How do you adjust to the changes in life ? How do you develop new routines ?

  1. Sometimes I felt new routines had to be organically found for less stress

    1. That is also true. There are times when a routine just doesn’t work and you have to find your eb and flow for the new routine. There is a lot to be said for just winging it at times and figuring a new routine out as you go

  2. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us! I am really enjoying hearing about your lives as they stretch and grow and seek out new adventures! Be well! ❤
