30 Has Taught Me…

wow! I can’t believe I am already here at 30. To me, the time seems to fly by. Just yesterday it was summer and now we are moving in to winter. As the cold weather brings us more huddled together warmth, the cold season has always been a time to reflect.

Days by the beach are the best !

The years go by quickly but the days are long. Whether it’s 30 or 20. That’s how the saying goes and it’s funny how the older you get the more that weird phrase makes sense to you. Some days are incredibly long, never ending, while I look back on the years and wonder where exactly the time went.

Family snuggles are my favorite !

30 has taught me many things and here’s what I hope to pass on to you

  1. Say No More Often – I spend way too much of my time saying yes to everything and making everyone else happy. This doesn’t mean I can’t help out a friend or do something nice. But it does mean I take my priorities into account and make them just that A Priority!
  2. Don’t worry about what other people my think – haters gonna hate no matter what you do. Find the people that truly care about you and be who you are ! Don’t waste your time trying to be someone else. Those people you’re trying to impress won’t really be impressed anyway. Be you!
  3. Do what makes you happy – This goes right along with 1 and 2. Don’t thi by our dreams will happen in the future, do or think they’ll be time later. Life is short, pursue what you love and what can help others.
  4. Enjoy Life – Too many fo us waste time being upset, resentful or continually looking forward to the next thing on our list. Do to forget to stop and enjoy life where you are right now, regardless of your circumstances.
  5. Don’t Sweat the small stuff – Don’t fret over life or what tomorrow will bring. Most situations work out in time. Give them a chance and have faith. Check out our post on contentment for more.

I’m hoping to spend the rest of this year, honing in on these traits and enjoying all life has to offer no matter what tomorrow brings.

Mom is my favorite role
