Are you an advent calendar lover? If so, this advent calendar is one the whole family can enjoy. Each year Christmas is the time many of us look back on the year that has passed and feel an extra urge to help those in need. We love giving a little extra and helping those around us in the community.

Our advent is called Random Acts of kindness. We have small jobs each day to spread a little kindness where we are. Have you ever had a rough day and the person in front of you buys you coffee? We know all about it, like surviving survival mode here. Have you forgotten your wallet and someone at the grocery store paid your bill? These acts of kindness turn your day around.

Our hope as a family is that these small acts, these little gestures will help to spread kindness, happiness and joy as the Christmas season approaches.

Here’s our calendar:

To make your own advent calendar simply print out calendar boxes on a piece of card stock. Fill in each day with your small gestures. Feel free to copy some of ours from above or write in your own. Customize it to your family and where you feel called to help.

Each day glance at the calendar and have fun sharing the love. My kids love this calendar and each year we have a blast filling it out on Thanksgiving. I love seeing their faces light up as they learn to give a little of themselves, a little of their comfort to spread joy to others.
